Instructions for downloading the Online Credit Application
You must have Adobe Acrobat Reader installed on your computer to open and work with the file you receive when you click on the link to download our credit application. Acrobat Reader is free from Adobe and it is often pre-installed on newer computers. If your computer does not have Reader, click the Acrobat Reader link at the bottom of this page to be transferred to Adobe's web site to download Reader for your operating system.
When you click on the link at the bottom of this page, the browser on your computer will decide what to do next, depending on how the browser is configured. Some browsers will automatically download the file directly to your hard drive. Others will open the file within the browser. Other browsers will ask you what you want to do with the file.
Most likely, you will want the PDF file saved to your hard drive. To make that happen on most Windows computers using Internet Explorer, you can right click on the link. That should bring up a menu with a list of options. Choose "Save Target As." After a moment, you will be asked where you want to save the file. Choose a destination and click Save.
When the file is open in Acrobat Reader, you should be able to fill out the information by simply clicking on the buttons or by clicking on fields where you want to type information.
Note: Acrobat Reader does not allow you to save the changes you make to the file, so you may want to look over the Credit Application form to make sure you have all the necessary information to fill it out before you begin typing. After you complete the form, you can print it and sign it. Then, mail or fax the form to Empire.
