Surcharges:

Effective August 1 - 31: $2.25 per labor hour

Effective September 1 - 30: $2.25 per labor hour

Fuel Surcharge:

Effective June 23, 2008, Empire Southwest will be adding a fuel surcharge to labor rates for all Field Service and Lube Service work orders. The fuel surcharge will be applied to each labor hour billed to Field Service and Lube Service work orders only and will be calculated based on the attached surcharge table. Our decision to move to an hourly charge versus a mileage charge is reflective of field truck operations. A field truck‘s engine is in operation while on job sites to power the air compressor, welders, and cranes.

Changes to the surcharge will be effective the first Monday of each month and will posted on our web site www.empirecat.com/fuelsurcharge approximately two weeks prior to the effective date. The surcharge will be based on the West Coast Average On-Highway Diesel Fuel Prices reported by the U.S. Department of Energy for the month that is two months prior to the adjustment. For example the surcharge for July 2008 is based on the May 2008 West Coast On-Highway Diesel Fuel Price.
