HOW TO APPLY
Empire’s ThinkBIG program enrollment process:
First, you'll want to complete Empire’s ThinkBIG online application January 2, 2012 – March 2, 2012.
APPLY HERE Once your online application is received, Empire will contact you to complete a ThinkBIG application.
The application will consist of the following:
- Letter of Recommendation (from Vocational Instructor, Mentor, Professor or Professional contact).
- Copy of high school transcripts.
- Community college assessment test results.
- Essay on why you want to be accepted into the program/become a diesel mechanic
- Complete Empire’s mechanical aptitude assessment.
The interview team from Empire will review all completed application packets and test results. Top candidates will be selected for interviews. Interviews will take place March through May. Once all interviews have been completed, Empire will select the Freshman Class of ThinkBIG Students. Selected students will be notified by June 12, 2012.
The program begins in conjunction with MCC fall semester schedule in August 2012.
*Candidates that are not selected for an interview or for the program will be notified by mail no later than June 12, 2012. If you are not selected we encourage you to apply again next year.
